ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 2, 2010

7:15P.M.          Called meeting to order. Present: Paula B. Keefe, Ellen W.

                        Abelson, Richard B. Gorden and Mark J. Mazur.

1.   The Board reviewed and signed a schedule of Uncollectible Excises

      for Calendar Year 2008.

2.   The Board took the following actions on Fiscal Year 2011 exemption

      applications for the owners of the following properties:

            Parcel #   80-79           Cl. 41C            Granted

            Parcel #   70-128         Cl. 41C            Granted

            Parcel #   52-28           Cl. 17D            Granted

            Parcel # 122-16-42      Cl. 17D            Granted

            Parcel #   72-103         Cl. 41C            Granted

3.   The Board reviewed a recent article on Assessing from the Boston

      Globe.

4.   The Board read a preliminary version of an Information Request by

      the State Bureau of Municipal Finance Law that relates to a request

      by our office for special permission to abate under the authority of

      MGL Ch. 58 Sect. 8.

5.   The Board approved as amended the draft of a letter in response to the

      State’s request for information concerning our recent request for special

      permission to abate under MGL Ch. 58 Sect. 8.

6.   The Board scheduled their next Board meeting for September 16, 2010

      at 7:15P.M.
